Choose a workflow for posting
Compare editor exports, mobile posting, browser posting and Fulres by task.
3 min read · Updated November 3, 2026For creators moving between an editor, Fulres and TikTok who want a repeatable posting routine.
Choose the finishing point first
Before exporting, decide whether the final edit happens in your editor or in TikTok. That decision affects the route more than the size of your source file. If you still need TikTok editing tools, use a workflow that leaves room for that final step.
Do not repeatedly export the same edit through several apps just to move it between devices. Keep one source export, identify it clearly, and avoid accidental replacement with an older compressed copy.
| Your situation | Useful route | Review before sending |
|---|---|---|
| You need TikTok editing tools | Prepare, then upload to inbox and finish in TikTok. | The account receiving the notification and the final in-app edit. |
| The edit is finished | Prepare, then review direct-publish settings. | Caption, audience, interaction choices and disclosures. |
| The post is already public | Use Check video with the existing URL. | Post identity, evidence source and check time. |
| You are reviewing the interface | Use local Demo preview. | Sample settings are not real account permissions. |
Route A: finish in the TikTok app
Inbox delivery hands the video to TikTok for a later publishing step. It does not mean that a public post has been created. Keep the correct account signed in on the phone and look for the TikTok upload notification.
Review the final cover in TikTok for this route. The cover position you selected in the Fulres composer is not a promise that the inbox workflow will use that exact cover.
- 01Export once
- 02Prepare in Fulres
- 03Confirm inbox delivery
- 04Open the TikTok notification
- 05Review and publish in TikTok
Route B: finish in the Fulres composer
Direct publishing collects the settings needed for a TikTok posting request. The available audiences and interaction restrictions come from the connected account. A missing choice is not something to bypass by guessing an API value.
The final review should include the actual account, caption and disclosures as well as the video itself. Sending the media starts a platform process; wait for the returned status before deciding whether to retry.

- 03Review current account options
- 04Confirm the post

Keep the source and the post connected
Use a small record for important posts: source filename, export settings, chosen route and the resulting post URL. If a later checker result differs from your source, that record helps you compare the correct files instead of another export with a similar name.
Navigating between views inside the workspace keeps the active composer. A page reload, closed browser session or expired server task is a different event; keep the source so that you can start again when necessary.
Avoid ambiguous retries
A stalled transfer and an unknown publish status need different responses. Before confirming a second upload, check whether the first one has reached the inbox or profile. Repeating a confirmation can create duplicates.
If a route fails, note the stage and exact error. Do not change codec, resolution and destination simultaneously unless there is a specific compatibility reason. Otherwise, you lose the ability to tell what fixed the problem.
- One identified source export.
- The intended TikTok account and destination.
- All final edits completed in the correct place.
- A recorded outcome before any retry.
- The public URL saved for a later playback check.
